Eggnog-Rum Marble Bundt Cake #BundtBakers

After what seems like eternity I am back to baking and I hope there will be no further such long break.

Now, before Christmas, I think I could not have chosen a better recipe than this delicious alcohol cake :) rum and eggnog, my friends - I advise not to drive immediately after you eat it.

The topic was chosen by a Liv for cake, a member of Bundt Cake Bakers group, and it was a very yummy wise choise.

Banana Peanut Butter Bundt Cake #BundtBakers

Here comes another great idea from the great group of BundtBakers. The topic for July was the combination of fruit and nuts chosen very cleverly by Shilpi of Simply Veggies. I get that the idea was probably to go for fresh fruits which is so widely available here as it is JULY... well, however.... as for ages I had wanted to try the combination of bananas and peanut butter (not to mention that I am a peanut butter addict), I decided to not to go for fresh fruits from our garden but rather to go to a store and buy bananas.. and then let them sit till they were almost black :)

Strawberry Charlotte - June 2015 Daring Bakers Challenge

For the June daring bakers challenge Rebecca from BakeNQuilt.com challenged us to make Charlotte Royale and Charlotte Russe from scratch. Savory or sweet Charlottes were definitely tasty showstopper! I just looove the combination of whipped cream and the strawberries. You cannot beat that!

Knowing that I will have access to strawberries from my parents' garden, I couldn't be more excited.

Lemon Marble Bundt Cake #BundtBakers

For June, my favourite group of bakers decided to go "lemon". I have decided to go for a classic bundt cake with a marble effect. I have found a great recipe, change it a little bit and I really recommend you also trying it. This bundt cake is not dry at all and smells and tastes wonderful :)

Lamingtons - May 2015 Daring Bakers Challenge

For the May challenge Marcellina from Marcellina in Cucina dared us to make Lamingtons. An Australian delicacy that is as tasty as it is elegant.

I really encourange you to try this sweet little thing.  A cube of vanilla sponge cake dipped in chocolate icing then coated with desiccated coconut - yummy.

If you are like me, you will go through 3 stages:
1. you will think that this is really easy to bake;
2. then you will discover that it actually is not as it is a little bit messy; and
3. then you will taste them and will realize that it was worthy.

For a longer time, I had wanted to try some recipe by Stephanie Jaworski from the Joy of Baking and as soon as I learnt she actually has a recipe for the lamingtons I knew I was going to use her recipe. Added value is that Mrs Jaworski has also made a video of hee method so if you will be confused how to bake these you can check it out.

Savoury Tomato Tarte Tatin - March Daring Bakers' Challenge

For the March Daring bakers’ challenge, Korena from Korena in the Kitchen taught us that some treats are best enjoyed upside down. She challenged us to make a tarte tatin from scratch.

And I absolutely loved this challenge. Usually, my daring bakers challenges don't turn out great but fortunatelly, this was not the case.

At first, I wanted to do a classic tarte tatin with apples but then I changed my mind I decided to go with a savoury variation.
